Skinner family involvement in Manitoba prairie horticulture stretches back almost a century.

John Skinner has been growing native seed on a contract basis and on the open market since 2000. His contract customers include Grasslands National Park, Viterra, Native Plant Solutions, Brett Young, and Medicine Lake Wildlife Refuge.

We have experience growing many different warm season grasses, cool season grasses, and forbs, and are most willing to increase your seed on a contract basis. Contact us for your seed for the Northern Prairies.

New for next year is a pollinator mix for the Canadian mixed grass prairie. Developed through a collaboration with the Xerces Society, the mix contains a wealth of native forbs that will provide bloom all across the seasons. For more details see the products page.
